Hello again everybody
Welcome to the new online version of our newsletter. It is designed to reduce sending times and bandwidth usage when I notify all you subscribers and this time includes about 30 images and full listings as well as more basic ones.
Production time has gone up also unfortunately and it has taken me almost four full days to assemble the info, refine the images and produce this issue.
WHERE IS THIS FROM?
====================
Welcome to new and mature free subscribers alike. Always quite a few new members will be seeing this, but I always look forward to seeing the long-established names in my mailbox.
You are always very welcome to cheer me up by writing to me or asking specific questions to see if I can help you with them. Just Click this to write direct to me here or
write to me at ask@themusicbox.co.uk
WE ARE REAL!
=============
This newsletter comes from a real music shop, The Music Box, Meadowhall and we have either received a request from you to be added to the free musical newsletter subscriber list, or we have been providing a free advert for you on our web pages which is only available to current subscribers of this free facility.
Hopefully therefore you may find this occasional extra info useful because of your musical interests.
GET THE INFO YOU NEED BUT ORDER WHERE YOU WANT

IF YOU DON`T LIKE THIS NEWSLETTER
===================================
Even at my most efficient I normally only have time to send out notifications
of a new edition twice a month so you will not be inundated with messages from me, but if you don`t like it, have had to give up the course on speed-reading,or have too full a mailbox to deal with it, you can easily unsubscribe, politely please, by following the easy instructions at the end of this letter.
It`s easy to do, just follow the instructions at the end of this letter. But do please read them carefully first - it`s not been made difficult to do.

EVEN MORE LIKE OUR SHOP
=========================
I had a bright idea
the other day for one or two of the opening pages to make our
website work even closer to how you might wander around our shop,
picking up books to look at.
This is a graphic representing an item for every one of our main pages, with a separate link to the page by clicking in that part of the image. (There is also a fuller explanation of what you will find if you wait a little with your mouse over that part of the image)
I think it is rather nice and - that buzzword again - really interactive (ugh!)
You will find see this new introductory graphic on
http://www.ukmusicbooks.com
http://www.themusicbox.co.uk
I have not included it for you on this page as it is rather heavy on loading resources and this newsletter will already take some time to appear on your screens, because of the number of pictures of music books we are including.
SINGING DANCING JUMPING TOP-MENU
===================================
Our original
drop-down menu which stayed on the top of the frame on most of
our music pages, and the side-menu inside themusic box site required.
A click was necessary to activate the drop-down, but I reasoned
that if someone was hesitant or uninformed about clicking on
them they would not use it.
By substituting the term onmouseover for the onclick which previously activated each main heading in the script I was able to make it bounce joyously down into its full-drop down glory when you merely pass your mouse over it. It automatically retracts when going over to the next one, or when putting the mouse back to the top of the dropped item.
MY DARK SECRET
================
I actually hate that self-important term webmaster, giving totally spurious authority to oneself.
Who can possibly, however technically accomplished (and I am not that), be a master of such a chronically unstable virtual universe as the web?
Anyway, putting off the moment of truth there, I, whatever you as paying or visiting customers choose to call me, have just completed a brand-new site for my local accordion club in Barnsley at the address http://www.accordionclub.org.uk
As if this is not shame enough, I have three further increasingly dark secret confessions to make to you.
I much prefer playing the piano for its much wider range and subtlety (unless it is a member of the club reading this) but I do owe something to the accordion, having used it as a teenager in the far-off days when electronic organs were just a rich man`s dream and electronic keyboards were not available to be pushed at you on every street corner.
My intention with the site was just to dash off a quick basic one, but of course I got carried away and tried some things I had not even got around to doing on our own sites here, with a Coreldraw produced drawing of my own of the instrument and a keyboard down the side for the links.
It`s probably the best design I have done yet. Have a look
at it at
http://www.accordionclub.org.uk
(go on, honestly, no-one will ever know!)
YET ANOTHER NEW MUSIC PAGE
==============================
As part of this site I have added a link to a new co-branded (another nice hateful marketing term!) accordion music page.
This means that while it appears to be on the accordion-club site and is in the same style with the same links, it is actually on our http://www.ukmusibooks.com site, complete with our secure order form and links back to all our other pages from our standard top-menu. The full address is http://www.ukmusicbooks.com/accordionmusic.htm
We did not have a page for accordion music before, so it kind of forced me to do one to justify the work on the club site and we now have about 30 fully illustrated and songlisted books there
MORE VERY BIG NEWS ON THE WAY
=================================
At this point I am not saying any more, but suffice it to say for now that visitors to our shop, however unobservant they might normally be, from about the beginning of July will definitely notice a marked difference!
On this page we have now mostly included the order info in green text after the other book description.
Our order form will stay in view in a separate window, provided this page is put over to the right and not in full-screen mode.
