HOW TO ADD THE FREE BUSINESS CARD SYSTEM TO YOUR OWN PAGE

No need to even to tell us you have linked, but we would be interested to know, and if you do tell us we will go to your site to check and then add a link to it on our card user page (provided it is a legal, family-friendly, non "adult" drugs tobacco or alcohol site) in return. You can even give us a few extra words to add as a mouseover box to describe your site, as you see on that page

If you cannot make your own links to your page just copy these to the html source of your page (right click on your page and choose copy source or use your web-editor, but remember if you just copy it onto the page where it appears in your browser it will only show as it does here - it will not actually do anything!) We will explain more later so you can get around this.

Once you link to the page as shown below you will have access to the complete system including FAQ, the  long and short versions of the cards and even this page`s explanations for linking.

If you need more help click here or see the beginner options listed at the bottom of the page.

<b><a href = "http://www.printedmusic4u.co.uk/cardpage.htm"> Click here to make your own business cards right now FREE and on your own computer<br>no downloads - no registering no info collected from you - no strings</a></b>

This appears on your page as

OR (to use the system with the picture as well) you will need to right-click on the image below and copy it to your site naming it cardexample.gif and placing it in the file called images (if the file "images"does not exist on your site just delete the symbol and word "/images" from the code and place the picture on the same "level" as your webpages in your site - or of course substitute the name of any file folder you do use to store your pictures in). Remember to upload the picture to the part of your site (including the folder if any) where you have placed it in the code of course!

There is no need to tell us you have linked but we would be interested to hear and will add you to our page of linking websites. We will also visit your site in return, and provided it is legal without "adult" content, family friendly  and non alcohol or tobacco related, and provide links on our page of business card system users. PROBLEM SOLVING

For those who normally write pages with help from a "what you see is what you get" web editor programme and are not used to using html.

Note that if you simply copy the code to the "Easy" what you see is what you get part of your web editor all you will see on your page is the code itself, it will not have the desired effect.

If you normally use a special Front-page style web editor to format your pages there will normally be a parallel html source viewing section of it. To place the link at the top of the page copy the code on a new line immediately after the opening <body>tag if you want it at the bottom of your page, copy the code to a line immediately above the closing </body> tag at the end of the coding.

For other places we suggest you type something that is easy to find and search for and which will not appear on your page anywhere else such as by typing  asdf in the wysiwyg section in the spot where you want to put the code, then search for that combination in the html source version and replace it with the code (having copied it ready to paste there of course). You can even get it exactly where you want it inside a particular part of a complex table in this way.

Hint: With a lot of these editors if after writing it in, you highlight the asdf on your page as it appears, you will find you go straight to it with it highlighted in the html version, so will not need to search for it.

If you cannot find the html section of your web editor, open it in a basic windows utility for writing and editing text, such as Windows Notepad. (You will have to be extra careful using Word as it can add code of its own or may save in the wrong format rather than the plain text style that you need).

STILL NOT HAPPY?

If you are still confused by these explanations we can put the code into a copy of your page for you if you wish. Just add the exact address of the page(s) you want it to appear on and then send us this letter. We can send your amended page back to you and even a copy of the picture if you want it. Click here for us to do nearly all the work for you (you will of course still have to FTP the result and the picture of the card if you are using it up to your site)
